His comedy typically has to do with world politics or Indian culture. In 2019, he was listed in Time's annual list of the 100 most influential people in the world. In 2024, Minhaj launched his talk show Hasan Minhaj Doesn't Know, which has since featured guests such as Senator Bernie Sanders, Prince Harry, Malala Yousafzai and Neil deGrasse Tyson.
