Shannon Barnes

Growing up in the woods, creating home movies and plays was her favorite pastime. Shannon considers herself a physical actor who grounds her characters in their relationships. She's passionate about collaboration, dark comedies, and using form to push the envelope. Film and TV highlights include Netflix's The Life List and You Season 5 and Full Moon's Quadrant. Shannon made her Off-Broadway debut at the NYC Fringe Festival in Update, a physical theatre piece she co-created and devised. Other notable theatre credits include Athena in Athena and Maddie in Hysterical. Shannon's folk band, Guipago Dreams, performs around NYC and has music out on all streaming platforms. Shannon holds a BFA in Theatre from NYU Tisch and trains at the William Esper Studio.
