During this period, he starred in the musical romantic drama *Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!* (1994), the romantic drama *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam* (1999), and won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for *Kuch Kuch Hota Hai* (1998). In the 2000s and 2010s, Khan led commercial features across comedy, romantic drama, and action, including *Tere Naam* (2003), *Mujhse Shaadi Karogi* (2004), *No Entry* (2005), *Partner* (2007), and *Wanted* (2009). He subsequently headlined the action comedy *Dabangg* (2010), launching a franchise that included sequels in 2012 and 2019, and originated the character of Avinash Singh Rathore in the spy action film *Ek Tha Tiger* (2012), later reprising the role in *Tiger Zinda Hai* (2017) and *Tiger 3* (2023).
