He gained recognition through appearances in shows such as *Comedy Central Presents*, *Inside Amy Schumer*, *Louie*, and *Crashing*. In 2016, he released his first stand-up special, *Live At Webster Hall*. Alongside his stage career, Oakerson has found success as a podcast and radio host, notably with shows such as *Legion of Skanks*, *The Bonfire*, and *Story Warz*. In 2025, he took on a role in the Netflix series *Tires*.
