Lisseth Chavez began her career as a model and made her first television appearance in 2009 on the reality show True Beauty. Her acting career developed through guest roles in well-known series to regular roles: The Fosters (2017–2018): As Ximena Sinfuego in 13 episodes; Chicago P.D. (2019): As Vanessa Rojas, a junior officer in the Intelligence Unit; DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2021): As Esperanza “Spooner” Cruz, a main role in seasons 6 and 7; The Rookie (2022–2025): As Celina Juarez, a recurring role over several seasons. She has also made guest appearances in series such as Lucifer, Grey's Anatomy, Shameless, S.W.A.T., Rizzoli & Isles, and Southland. In 2020, Chavez received an Imagen Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Chicago P.D.
