He is particularly remembered for his appearance in Roberto Rossellini’s The Taking of Power by Louis XIV (1966), in which he portrays one of the courtiers in this historical reconstruction that has since become a classic of French television. Barrat also took part in various TV dramas and literary adaptations, often playing solid supporting roles that contributed to the narrative or ensemble cast.
