She achieved major international visibility for her lead role as Mija in Bong Joon-ho's Netflix feature Okja (2017), which competed for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. Her filmography includes Oh! My Ghost (2022) and Hana Korea (하나 코리아).
