He continued to star in prominent Malayalam films like Bangalore Days (2014), Charlie (2015), and Kammattipaadam (2016), receiving recognition for his performances, including a Kerala State Film Award for Best Actor for Charlie Salmaan expanded his acting portfolio across multiple languages, positioning himself as a pan-Indian actor. He gained notice in Tamil cinema with films such as Mani Ratnam’s OK Kanmani (2015) and delivered a notable performance in Telugu cinema as Gemini Ganesan in the biographical film Mahanati (2018).
