Known for her exceptional charm and impeccable comic timing, she quickly became a staple of commercial cinema, acting in over 100 films across Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. Her career is celebrated for her frequent collaborations with legendary director Priyadarshan and superstar Mohanlal in landmark comedies and dramas like Boeing Boeing, Mazha Peyyunnu Maddalam Kottunnu, Thalavattam, and Chithram, as well as her appearance in the iconic investigative thriller Oru CBI Diary Kurippu. At the peak of her career, she married director Priyadarshan in 1990 and chose to step away from the silver screen to focus on her family, adopting the name Lakshmi.
