Yoshioka repeatedly clashes with the guards, and after Kubota is captured and badly injured, the two are thrown into solitary confinement and beaten relentlessly. Amid the violence, Oogami (Yu Matsuda), the hospital’s chief, orders that they be treated. The next day, Yoshioka and thirty other inmates are taken to a classroom.
